Loving Others
- So in everything, do to others what you would have them do
to you, Matthew 7:12
- Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does
not boast, it is not proud. 1 Corinthians 13:4
- If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is
a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen,
cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command:
Whoever loves God must also love his brother. 1 John 4:20-21
- This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us
and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear
friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 John 4:10-11
- Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but
with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
- Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you
may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13
- So watch yourselves.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he
sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and
says, 'I repent,' forgive him." Luke 17:3-4
- The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is
sufficient for him. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him,
so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you,
therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. 2 Corinthians 2:6-8
- Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in
humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look
not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
